From its lowest position above the horizon, the southern turning point at 0 degrees Capricorn, the moon climbs daily higher through the zodiac signs Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini, until it reaches its highest position in the northern turning point at 0 degrees Cancer, after about 14 days. The lunar orbit appears to the observer to be higher each day.
